Central University of Rajasthan faculties write to MHRD, President against administration

The faculties have now sought the intervention of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, who is the Visitor of central universities, in the matter.

The Central University of Rajasthan Teacher’s Association has also sent out a dossier containing evidence of the alleged corruption to the Prime Minister’s Office, the CBI, the Central Vigilance Commission, the UGC and the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau.

DU teachers write to President demanding through investigation in alleged ‘anti India’ slogan raised at JNU

The teachers in the letter to the President have stated, “A thorough investigation of the happening of February 9 at JNU should be done. The probe should also be made about the circumstances and the elements which have led to such kind of anti-India activities… in a premier university in the heart of the country. To investigate the forces operative in the University… students are linking up with the banned organisations and groups.”

“Integrity and honour of our motherland is above all institutions, including JNU,” says the letter.

IIT Madras faculties write to President expressing concern over institutions converting into “war zones"

The 56 IITM faculty members in a letter to the President Pranab Mukherjee said there is a need to save educational institutions from the scholarship of abuse and hate and sought his intervention.

"We feel concerned about the situation in the country where institutions of higher learning are being converted into war zones by some academicians, politicians and sections of media,” they said.
