Maharaja Agrasen College celebrates teacher’s day

Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi celebrated Teacher’s Day here in the college premises on Thursday, 5th September 2013 where the main attraction was the traditional style of lunch served by the College Student council which literally won the moment of the celebration.

The event started with lighting of lamp followed by Cake cutting ceremony by the principal, Dr. Sunil Sondhi along with Dr. T N Ojha (Convenor Student Advisory Committee), Dr. Amit Pundir, Dr. V.K.Yadav, Dr. Neeraj Singh and other teachers. It was followed by the mesmerizing poem, “Mujhme kitne aap baste hain” written and recited by one of the member of student council, Ayush Kesri. This enjoy full moment was followed by the touching poem, “Ode to the teacher” of Vatsima Tripathi which filled the environment with emotions that polished the program.

The game session where games like Arms wrestling, blowing balloons, tie knot and tongue twister gave the moment of happiness to the teachers. After this a session of ‘Express-so’ was organised in which the inner side of the teachers was revealed when they were asked to speak about a random topic selected through a pick-chit system. At the end of the program a vote of thanks was delivered by Priya Singh one of the member of student council in which she clearly defined the value of teachers in our life.
